New recipes.

I think that Asian/Chinese dishes are my biggest challenge. I haven’t had much luck with recipes, Imagebut last night I think I really made some progress. For Christmas Mike gave me a cookbook called 50 Shades of Chicken because I had just read all three 50 Shades of Grey books. I finally sat down last week and picked out some recipes I wanted to try. The first one I tried was a crispy chicken tenders, Asian style. They were super tasty and Mike really liked him. Not surprising though because when we first started dating all Mike ordered at restaurants was chicken fingers. 

I also made sichuan green beans from the Cooks Illustrated Modern Classic magazine my sister got me for Christmas. I can’t find the recipe online so I will take a picture and post later. They were also super tasty. I usually roast green beans in the oven so this was a good change of pace. 

And for an extra special treat for Mike I made potstickers. He said I should make them with every meal. We’ll see about that. 

It’s been fun to look through all of these cookbooks that I got for Christmas, I’ve got so many new recipes to try.
